Jack was born and raised in Summerville, SC, graduating from Summerville High School.  He  played in a band in the early 80’s at Club Dallas. Since then, his dream was to own his own bar. For 20 years, he worked as a sales manager at General Diesel and on the weekends, worked at Summerville Speedway as a NASCAR Official. He also worked at Low Country Ford as a car sales representative. During that, time Jack and his brother Billy opened a club in Knightsville called Montana’s. Then, a few years later in 1998, Jack opened "Jack’s Place" in Summerville.

Jack’s Place is a family-owned bar. It is run by Jack (owner), his wife Jan (co owner) and his daughter Jennifer (office manager). 

"Our customers say it is a great bar to come to and relax with friends and co-workers. Our bar is a friendly, well-controlled atmosphere. The staff and customers have a great relationship. Jack’s Place is the only club in Summerville to have karaoke six nights a week. We are also known as The Karaoke Club in Summerville."
